Multiple Draftings |
This command allows you to draft several documents from an assembly document.
Creation stages / Use:
Select the Multiple Draftings... command from the popup menu after selecting the assembly in which parts and/or sub-assemblies have to be drafted. This command is also available from the popup menu of the assembly tab.
Create a new BOM or select an existing BOM, if any, from the BOM templates..
Validate the creation of the BOM by selecting the necessary options. (see bill of material for more explanations).
If no BOM template is defined, select the desired columns.
A BOM is created that must be saved by clicking OK.
Select the selection mode in the drop down list (see "available options" for details).
Check the parts and/or sets to draft.
Double-click in the templates cell to change the template to use.
Validate.

By left-clicking in this column on the required line, you can specify the drafting template to use for this part. By right-clicking, you have access to the following contextual commands:

The directory choice of created drafts is splitted in two parts:
You can choose between:
Check the option Delete useless drafting in order to delete the drafts already generated if the part is not anymore in the bill of material.
Options:
Check this option if all drafts must stay opened.
Check this option to update previously created draftings of assemblies/parts.
Example : Modification of code in the assembly, after generation of multiple drafting.
Example : Modification locally in the assembly.
Nest draftings:
Check this option in order to create automatically a bundle that contains all the create draft. You have to select a bundle template with nesting. You can also specify the destination folder for the bundle document.
If a bundle with nesting based on the same bill of material already exists, you can activate this option to update it
