Local Part Numbering |
This command allows you to define the part numbering of different documents at the project level. When the part numbering is defined, the reference for each newly created document is completed automatically.
Creation stages / Use:
Select Part Numbering... from the project contextual menu.
Click Add Type to select the type of document on which you want to define the reference then use the Add counter, Add string and Add data buttons to define the information to display in the reference of the documents.
An example of the defined part numbering is displayed at the bottom of the window.

The defined part numbering does not affect existing documents. To modify the part number of an existing documents, use the New part number option of the Properties contextual command from the document. |
Available Options:
Add counter:

The counter increments for each new creation. It can be made of numbers (numerical) or letters (alphabetical). The initial value corresponds to the start value of the counter. The minimum number of characters allows you to get a reference with always the same number of characters. The fill character allows you to define the character to use when the minimum number of characters if different than 1. For example with a minimum number of 3 and the fill character 0, you will get the following counter: 001, 002, etc For example with a minimum number of 3 and the fill character -0, you will get the following counter: --1, --2, etc |
Add string:

Allows you to enter characters (or separators). |
Add data:

Select the data type to display, such as project name, folder name, creation date or other. For the creation date, you must also enter the date format. |
Modifications / Additional information:
You can change, delete or re-order the part numbering using the Modify, Delete, Up or Down buttons.
