Available options:

  • You can handle the animation cursor to globally "move" the Parting Shapes.
If you want to animate only one Parting Shape, select it before the cursor handling.

  • It is possible to "double-click" or use the F2 key to rename the selected Block in the list or from the graphics area.

  • The following areas on the separations can be identified by different colors. This coloring can be useful to identify surfaces, for example for machining:

  • Molding areas.

  • Parting surfaces.

  • Inserts.

By default, TopSolid'Split is using the colors set in the document options Split Blocks > Colors > Parting Shapes.

  • Reverse trimminng : In some cases, the software trims the Stock shape with the Parting Shells, but does not keep the correct side of the shape. In this case, select the shape in the block list, then Reverse the trimming.

  • Check: This option allows you to launch automatically the Check command to control the geometrical validity of the parting shapes produced.
This option is not activated by default, because the calculation can be quite long. However, it is necessary to Check the shapes geometry before launch the Core cavity blocks command. Indeed invalid shapes will produce invalid blocks.
