Stock |
This command allows to define the Stock shape to use for the coming Split operations.
Creation stages / Use:
Click the icon or select the Split > Stock... command from the drop-down menu.
Select the shape to use:
Block : TopSolid'Split computes a centered block on the step 2 chosen frame. To "move" the block, select an offset frame. You set the X, Y and Z dimensions of this block.
Cylinder : TopSolid'Split computes a centered cylinder on the step 2 chosen frame. To "move" the block, select an offset frame. You set the Height and Diameter dimensions of this block.
For those both modes, if you don't "know" the expected dimensions, you can click . The used margins are set in document options Split Blocks > Colors > Stock. |
User : You select any solid shape. The Stock will be ma,aged by the way you designed the part.
The shape must be designed BEFORE the Stock operation. Remind you to lower the insertion cursor before the Stock operation or lower your designed shape under the Stock operation. |
Select or create the reference frame for the Stock .
Validate .
Available options:
To improve the design reliability, we added design planes linked to the Stock. These planes are automatically built at a distance you cans set locally during the Stock definition, or set by default in Tools > Options... |
Regenerate planes : Allows to indicate if you want the update of the Stock linked planes during the modification of you Stock dimensions.
Extra length : This option allows you to determine the offset of the planes associated with the stock in relation to the different faces of the stock block.
Show planes : Allows to see the Stock linked planes.
Modifications / Additional information:
There is only one Stock operation, and edit the operation will give you access to the definition of the Stock. It is not possible to "move" the Stock in the operation tree.
