Core Cavity Blocks

This command allows to generate the final Assembly that contains the Parts created from the Parting Shells and the Inserts. The created parts will be managed in the TopSolid PDM.

Creation stages / Use:

Click the icon or select the Split > Core Cavity Blocks... command from the drop-down menu.

1. You visualize the different Core Cavity Blocks, Inserts and Shapes with shrink created.

It is possible to "double-click" or use the F2 key to rename the selected Block in the list.

1. Once checked, validate to create Assembly files that contains the Parts managed in the PDM.
2. Choose the folder in the project where these documents will be created.
3. Validate

The assembly document, linked to the Split need to be consider as a black box. It is strongly advised to not work in this assembly. The operations on the parts need to be done on the shapes in the Split document, or with in place editing them in the mold.

Core Cavity blocks:

Derived parts: It lists the parting shapes (included in the Parting Shapes set) and their associated type.

It is possible to modify the automatically associated type to each bloc. These types then allow, once the assembly is included in a Mold, to recognize the different parts of the assembly and to assign them automatically in the different Mold sets.

Assembly document: This information appears only is the assembly from the split was created before. If this command is relaunched it will display the name of this assembly document, which will be updating.

Modifications / Additional information:

After modifying the Split document with modifying the separation shapes, it is not necessarily to relaunch the command to update the assembly produced by the split. We relaunch it only if new parts are created, or deleted.
