Parting Surfaces - Loft Without Guide

This command allows to create Loft Without Guide Parting Surfaces ("ruled" shape).

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

  1. Select the start edge and the end edge of the surface.

  2. Modify the complementary options (see chapter "Available options" for details)
  3. Validate

 

 

 

Available options:

 

 

 

  • Start/End profiles:

You can set the Start profile and the End profile, if TopSolid'Split was not able to find them automatically.
If the profiles don't exist, you can create them "from scratch" . The available functions are:

 

  • Closing:

You can choose the closing method:

Profile

When the surface is computed, a spline curve is automatically created with tangency constraint on its extremities.
It is possible to edit this sketch by the "edit sketch" contextual command once the surface has been created

 

 

Add constraints:

Right click on a edge or the arrow of the profile, to add tangency constraints to your surface Loft With Guides:

 

Delete constraint

Right click on a edge , the arrow of the profile or the Constraint label to remove tangency constraints previously added.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Fitting:

Allow you to manage the "acceptable" tolerance between 2 surfaces.

 

  • Smoothing:

Allow you to manage the "acceptable" angular tolerance between 2 surfaces to proceed to an automatic Smoothing operation.
