Electrode

This command is used to determine the calculation margins applied in the electrode creation command, and in the calculation of the initial positions.

Creation stages / Use:

Choose the Electrodes > Electrode... command from the Options tree of a Electrodes document.

  1. Determine the margins to apply.

  2. Validate .

Available options:

  • Margin for base computing: During the electrode creation, it is possible to give to the base default dimensions. They were computed based on the englobing box of the selected shapes plus a margin. The default margin is the one defined here.

  • Margin for stock height computing: The Minimum Stock Height is used to dimension the stock.  Its corresponds to the electrode height plus a margin. The default margin is the one defined here.

  • Sécurity margin: To define the electrodes Initial positions, it is possible to use the automatic diving distance computing. In this case, the distance will be equal to the total height of the shell plus a Security margin. The default margin is the one defined here.

  • Name positions: If the option is activated, each occurrence of the repeated electrode is named by its position. It is then possible to reorganize electrode positions by moving them within the set of theoretical electrode positions.

The electrode position number depends on its position in the list.

  • Prefix: This option is used to define the prefix to be given to the position number of the electrode occurrence.
