Distance measurement

This measurement type allows to know the distance between two entities.

  1. Select the first geometry. A filter allows to select only a specific type of entity (point, axis, plane, curve, shape) or for the automatic mode, being able to select any type of entity by using the rotative picking.

  2. Select the second geometry. A filter allows to select only a specific type of entity (point, axis, plane, curve, shape) or for the automatic mode, being able to select any type of entity by using the rotative picking.

  3. Select the frame in relation to which the results will be displayed.

  4. Validate by clicking .

  • Geometries of type point, axis or plane can be created on the fly using the Special inputs button at the end of the input field. They are temporary and deleted after validation of the analysis command.

  • The choice of the frame orients the results of the analysis (information in Delta X, Y and Z).

  • If one or both cumulated computations are checked, then an additional line for the computation's result appears in the label.

  • If the automatic mode is selected, then the order of selection of the elements by type is as follows: Surfaces - Curves - Points - Axes - Planes - Profiles.

  • A popup menu is available if there are several labels. This menu allows you to

- Delete the "current" label

- Delete all other labels (except the "current" label)

- Delete all labels

The Shape option allows to get the minimum distance between a shape and a point, axis, plane, curve or another shape.
