This command allows you to insert a plate in a mold base become modifiable. If the mold base is not modifiable, the command is not available.

Creation stages / Use:

Click the icon or select Mold > Mold Base > Insert plate... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Choose the reference plate to position the new plate.

  2. Determine the plate type to insert.

  3. Validate .

  4. Then, determine the new inclusion parameters, and the plate drivers.

  5. Validate .

  • During the plate edition, the modifiable mold base template document is open. The plate is inserted in this document.
  • The parameters driving the component insertions are re evaluated with taking in account the new plate. It could be necessary to modify these parameters, or the inserted components to get a valid mold base template.
  • The template document is automatically closed after the command validation.

Available options:

  • Top/Bottom: The new plate will be inserted on the Top or on the Bottom of the selected plate. The face on the Absolute Z+ plate side will be the Top side, the Z- side the Bottom.

  • Manufacturer: Allows you to choose the plate manufacturer among the available manufacturer in your components libraries.

  • Type: Allows you to determine the plate type to insert among the existed types in the manufacturer library selected (Clamp plate, Core cavity plate, rails....)
  • Family: Allows you to choose the plate family to insert among the available family.

  • Occurrence name: Allows you to give a name to the plate occurrence in the template.
  • Document: It is potentially possible to choose another plate family. But it could be difficult to implement because the parameters created in the template may become invalid according to the chosen plate.
  • Code: Allows you to modify the plate code. The other mold base plates will not follow this code modification.

  • Height: Allows you to modify the plate height with a non standard value.
  • Material: It is possible to modify the plate materiel, you can choose this material among all the materials referenced in the project.

Drivers consistency control: (Only available for inclusion of families with drivers).

If a family with drivers is included in an assembly and then a new driver is created in this family:

  • If the Strict option is not checked, the value of this driver in the generic will be used.

  • If the Strict option is checked, the inclusion will become invalid and will indicate that the driver has no value

Modifications / Additional information:

If the plate positioning need to be modify, it is needed to delete the plate and insert a new one. Edit plate allows you to modify its drivers.
