Processing parts repetition |
This command allows you to duplicate a component in order to define the repeated component and its instances as functional parts.
It provides a time-saving using processes in assembly compare to the Processing parts command.
Creation stages / Use:
Select the Tools > Processes > Processing parts repetition... command from the drop-down menu.
Select parts or assembly to repeat.
Select the repetition pattern or create it from the Special inputs button.
If necessary, modify processing parts that have been automatically declared during the Parts to repeat selection (in the case of repeated assembly for example).
If the part to be repeated is an assembly in which only the sub-assemblies have processes, simply uncheck the assembly in Processing parts and unfold its node to check only the sub-assemblies. |
This command is not compatible with cases where the parts to operate are not the same between two processing parts. In this case, you must use the Processing parts command. |
When applying the process, TopSolid generates a repetition of operations in the resulting documents. Compared to the Processing parts command, the performance gain will be even more significant when the number of instances in the repetition is large |
Available options:
Hide:
|
The box allows to hide selected entities during the use of the command, to be able to select other entities more easily, especially those who were behind.
|
Replay operations:
|
If this option is checked, the operation is recalculated for each entity. If it is not checked, the geometry of the operation is repeated identically.
|
Fast repetition:
|
Available with Replay operations uncheck only.
This option allows for faster repetitions in simples cases, because there is no control. However, there are also more errors (ex. if the repetition is outside of the part).
