Redimensioning

This command allows you to resize a derived part by applying different nominal, medium, minimum or maximum values of the toleranced dimensions of the original document.

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

Click the Redimensioning icon or select Tools > Derivations > Redimensioning... from the drop-down menu. This command can also be sued from the contextual menu on the derivation operation.

 

  1. Check the "Effective value" box and select the value to use.

  2. Check the "Apply to drillings" box if you would also like drillings to be affected by this adjustment.

  3. Validate. When validated, the geometry is calculated by using the new effective values selected by the user.

 

Modification:

 

 

  • During the redimensioning edition, it is possible to modify some dimensions (dimension value,or type of effective value) to treat exceptions.

  • The redimensioning operation can be edited via the Edit contextual command on the operation of derivation or redimensioning.

  • The redimensioning entity can be edited via the Edit resizing contextual command on the operation of derivation or redimensioning.

 

 

 

  • During the redimensioning entity edition, this entity is display in green in the entities tree, dimensions can be modified.

  • To change the type of effective value of a toleranced dimension, just drag it in the chosen folder of the entities tree (Mean, Maximal, Minimal ou Nominal).

  • To modify a dimension value, double-click it and enter the new value. The dimension is automatically moved in the Modified folder.

  • It is possible to modify the value of all toleranced or not dimensions.

 

 

Additional information:

 

 

  • The redimensionsing operation allows to select the effective value to apply, and also contains a redimensioning entity which contains the new definition of toleranced (or not) dimensions which van be modified.

  • The command can only be used in a derived part document.
