This command allows a tolerance reference symbol to be created.

 

Creation stages:

 

Click the icon or select the Detailing > Datum feature... command from the drop-down menu. .

 

  1. Select a reference item.

  2. Enter a text.

  3. Specify if a side text must be added to the datum feature.

  4. Select the datum feature style to use.

  5. Position the reference.

 

 

The symbols text is automatically incremented (from A,... à ,Z then AA, ...).

 

 

A reference tolerance can be hooked on a geometric tolerance frame.

 

 

Available Options:

 

 

This field allows the symbol text to be forced.

 

 

 

Allows to display complementary information after the datum feature.

  • Datum target names: allows to display the names of datum target that define it. This list is updated dynamically as soon as a datum target with the same name is updated.

  • None: no indication display.

  • Surface count: allows to display the number of surfaces identical to the selected surface (this value must be greater or equal to 2).

 

 

 

The basic style allows you to retrieve the settings of an existing tolerance reference style.

 

 

 

  • Font: Displays the name and size of the font used. Use the Font cell to activate the button and then modify the settings (font, height and style). The button displays changes.

  • Color: To use another color, select the color cell and select a new one to use.

  • Layer: Assign a layer to the element. The layer can be created on the fly by clicking the "+".

 

 

 

Allows to define attributes of translated dimension line when datum feature is a dimension.

  • Translated dimension line color: allows to define the color of the translated dimension line.

  • Translated dimension line style: allows to define the type and thickness of the translated dimension line.

 

 

 

Allows to define the position between the side text and the datum feature.

Check Position to change settings.

  • Key point: allows to position text around the datum feature frame.

  • Text offset: allows to enter the offset between the text and the datum feature frame.

 

 

 

  • Extremities: allows to modify the symbol extremity type (full or  empty) as wall as its color and its size.

  • Local attributes: allows to modify local attributes of the datum feature.

 

 

 

Modifications:

 

To modify an existing reference, just select it with a right button and select the Edit command.

To add joggings on recall line, use manual leader, add, delete junctions and masking contextual commands.
