Switch parameter

 

 

 

This command allows you to create a switch parameter. This type of parameter allows you to make a link between a table parameter and enumeration functions.

 

Creation Stages / Use:

 

Click the icon or select the Construction > Parameters > Switch parameter... command from the drop-down menu.

 

  1. Choose the parameter type.

  2. Enter the name of the parameter.

  3. Choose the enumeration function from the drop-down list.

  4. In the switch table, enter the values corresponding to each case.

  5. Enter a default value.

 

 

Example of use: For a screw function document, the enumeration parameters provide the different types of heads. A C1 tabulated parameter provides the diameter of the spot facing for a Cylindrical head. A C2 tabulated parameter provides the diameter of the spot facing for the countersunk head H. The switch parameter makes a link between the different types of heads and the corresponding spot facing values.
