• Purge:

• • Allows you to define the number of minor revision without back reference kept. If the number is 5, the 6th minor revision "removes" the oldest. A minor revision can't be removed if it is referenced by another document. In this case, it is possible that the number of minor revisions is higher than the wanted number of minor revisions.

  • Allows you to define the number of kept without back reference backup count. If the number is 5, the 6th backup "removes" the oldest. A backup can't be removed if it is referenced by another document (for example by another backup). In this case, it is possible that the number of backups is higher than the wanted number of backups.

   

• Cache clean-up:

• Allows you to automatically clean the cache after a couple of days to define. It can also be cleaned manually by clicking the button.

•  

• Saving:

This saving only affects documents under modification. It cannot, in any way, replace the daily backup of the database and vault. (see the installation guide for more information).

This is not an automatic backup.

• A confirmation message is displayed during the backup of several documents by checking this option.

• Auto save documents allows to define the time between 2 saves of opened documents.

• Checked-in documents:

Allows you to define whether or not a warning is required when removing a document from the vault. By opening, for example, a document by double-clicking on the project tree, the message may appear if the document is modified.

• Read modes :

• Double-click on document :

Allows to choose the open mode by default with the double-click on the tree project.

• Available commands :

Allows to choose the commands available in contextual menu on the tree project

• Open document : All the modifications are possible and it is possible to save the document.

• Consult document : The document will be opened in Read-only. It will be only possible to analyze the document. If we want to make a modification, the document is going to pass in Analyze mode.

• Analyze document : In the tab, the name of the document is going to take a question mark. It will be possible to analyze the document and to make modifications but it will be not possible to save the document.

• Explore document (requires TopSolid'Pdm Explorer) : allows to open the document in the TopSolid'Pdm Explorer

This mode requires to have installed TopSolid'Pdm Explorer

• Explore document (Web)  (requires TopSolid'Web Explorer) : allows to open the document in the TopSolid'Web Explorer

This mode requires to have installed TopSolid'Web Explorer

• Libraries import mode when starting: 

When starting TopSolid for the first time, it is asked to check-in libraries. This operation is very long, and the user can differ it, but when he will start TopSolid again, he will be asked to check it in again. This mode allows to choose this import behavior.

• Manage vault  (only available with the local Pdm).

By unchecking this option, all commands according the vault management are hidden ( check-in, validate, Revisions, ...).

• Enable documents moving into document:

This option allows to drag any document under another one. For example, a draft document can be dragged under a part document. It is not recommended to use this option.

• Check object name conflict:

Allows to avoid creating documents and folders with a same name within a same folder.

• Propose to check-in when closing:

When a project is closed with not saved documents, TopSolid proposes to check them in.
