This command allows you to define or delete keyboard shortcuts or icons in the toolbars.

 

Creation Stages / Use:

 

Click the icon or select Tools > Customize... command from the drop-down menu.

 

Toolbars tab:

 

When this tab is chosen, the customizable zones are framed in red.

 

  1. From the drop-down list, select the category containing the function for which an icon must be used.

  2. Drag this icon to the blue frames provided for this purpose.

  3. Add drop-down lists, if allowed by the function, by selecting the icon.

  4. Add separators by dragging them to the desired bar, from the right icon.

  5. Add a file to run by selecting its patch. This program can be done with Automation tools. The Automation check box add to the exe the argument "-pipename CommandName" so that the Automation exe file connects to the appropriate TopSolid. Thanks to this it it possible to run several TopSolid by automation on the same machine.

  6. The Display command on the document option allows to drag in progress customized icon bars into rectangles of the graphic area (near zooms and renders).

  7. You can revert to the default configuration by clicking the Reset icon bar button.

 

Add a search to execute area: This area allows you to launch a search throught an icon. The search should be chosen among the My searches or Company searches projects.

The Command name field allows you to type a text that will be displayed when the cursor fly over the icon.

The ... button allows you to choose the icon of the command among the TopSolid icons or from a image file (bmp, jpg, png,...), then you'll have to drag and drop this icon into an icon bar.

 

Keyboard shortcut tab:

 

  1. From the drop-down list, select the category that has the function for which a shortcut exists or must be created.

  2. Check or uncheck Only the existing shortcut keys. When this option is checked, only the existing shortcuts are displayed, which allows you, for example, to find an existing shortcut to modify more quickly.

  3. From the drop-down list, the command for which the shortcut exists or the command to modify/create/delete. The icon of the function appears under the list. The right-hand window indicates the application field of the shortcut (only on parts, for all documents, etc.).

  4. The Existing shortcut window indicates whether the chosen command already has a shortcut.

  5. You can delete it by clicking on Delete.

  6. Enter the new shortcut in the window, if it is already assigned to a command, the window will state Shortcut is currently assigned to:

  7. Validate your creation by clicking on the Assign button.

  8. You can revert to the default configuration by clicking on the Reset all shortcuts button.

 

 

Resetting all of the shortcuts cancels all customized settings, but not the standard shortcuts existing upon installation of TopSolid (CTRL+C; CTRL+V; F1; F5; etc.).

Commands available in a context menu only (ex. View Along Normal) can be selected into the Context menu category. All context commands are not available, they will be added regarding users requests.

 

 

The Reset toolbar button only concerns modifications of the toolbars of the current document. To reset all toolbar icons, use the Tools > Reset... menu.
