Center of mass point

This command allows to create a center of mass point.

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

Click the icon or select the Construction > Points > Center of mass point... command from the drop-down menu.

 

  1. Select the shape for which the center of mass point has to be created.

  2. Validate by clicking .

 

 

  • The point position can be manually changed. It depends on the selected shape. If the shape is modified, the center of mass point is calculated again.

  • It is unnecessary to activate Physical properties to be able to create a center of mass point.

 

 

Modifications / Additional information:

 

The center of mass point is listed in the Points folder of the entities tree. It is grayed because it can't be changed. To edit it and change the shape, you have to switch to the Analysis step.
