Mesh solid |
This command allows to mesh parts of the document.
Creation stages / Use:
Click the icon or select the Mesh > Mesh solid... command from the drop-down menu.
Select parts to mesh.
Select the meshing method:
Provide the target size of the meshing.
Validate by clicking .
Available options:
Meshing Method: You can select the meshing method.
Automatic: The solver globally meshes the shape.
Target size: This is the size that should be obtained for mesh items. Meshing should not produce bigger items, and the number of smaller items should be limited as much as possible.
Face by face: this mode is needed if using the local meshes (Edges distribution,local size, local mesh)

Size Tolerance: This is the tolerance for which item sizes are considered.
Modifications / Additional information:
Auto Refresh:
You can turn off the meshing auto refresh in case the shape or the mesh settings are modified. To do this, use the Auto Refresh popup command that you can access by right-clicking on the meshing in the entity tree.
If auto refresh is off, the meshing is still recalculated if necessary when a resolution is launched.
Show/Hide Meshing:
You can view either the meshing or the part with the Show Geometry and Show Meshing popup commands by right-clicking on the geometry in the graphic area.
To be able to mesh solids, they must be listed in the Structures folder of the entities tree. Shapes and beams are automatically in this folder by checking the Generate solid, or Generate beam option during the including or, if modifications have been done to shapes, by using Analysis | Solid, Analysis | Shell or Analysis | Beam commands. |
