Shrinkage |
This command allows to set the scale transformation to apply to the Molded Shape.
Be careful, the Insert Shapes are not modified by this computation. You will have to manually move the Insert Shapes or manage some operations on the Molded Shape to consider correctly the Shrinkage transformation. |
Creation stages / Use:
Click the icon or select the Split > Shrinkage... command from the drop-down menu.
If your document has been created by a right click from the original file (tab or project tree), you "start" the Split document directly to the Shrinkage operation. |
Select the shape to transform. A Molded Shape is absolutely needed at this step.
If your document has been created by a right click from the original file (tab or project tree), this selection is done automatically. |
Select in the drop-down list the frame to use as the
transformation origin. If it is needed, invert it .
If there is no frame usable for your design create it "from scratch"
.
Please report to the different topics related to the frame
creation.
This frame will become the Opening frame, it means the reference
frame for your future Split
design.
The PDD frame appears in the list only if you published it in the part document. |
Choose the computation way to apply:
4. Validate .
5. The color of the selected shape changes according the setting done in the document options Split Blocks > Colors > Molded Set.
Available options:
Preview
|
It is possible to visualize the preview of the transformation before its application. To do it, activate in the operation. |
Advanced options:
Two computing modes are available :
The delta between these two modes is small with small shrinkage values. |
Modifications / Additional information:
The Shrinkage factor is modifiable at every time during your design for a "live update".
If you assign a shrinkage factor to the wrong part, you can edit the Shrinkage function and select the correct part for the computation.
More control is available for the shrinkage value applied to the part. For example, if you confirm an operation with a shrinkage factor of 1 (or 0%), which means that no shrinkage is applied, a warning message appears.
