Insert shape

This (optional) command allows you to define Insert Shape(s) in your Split Design.

The Insert Shape allows to indicate to the element you must consider as "added" to the Molded Shape in the current design (metallic insert, over molding shape, "skeleton"...). You have to set it when:

you have multiple shapes in your original document.
you have inserted your PDD with a "drag&drop" in your Split document.

Creation stages / Use:

Click the icon or select the Split > Insert Shape... command from the drop-down menu.

Select the Molded Set to manage.
Select the shape to set as Insert Shape.
Validate .
The color of the selected shape(s) change according the existing setting in the document options Split Blocks > Colors > Molded Set.

Available options:

Hide

The activation of this option allows to hide the already selected shapes.

Modifications / Additional information:

As the Shrinkage computation is not applied to the Insert Shape, you would have to transform this shape at the expected position, or modify the Molded Shape geometry to "fix" the shrinkage effects.
