Select Start Edge

This command determines which edge is the starting edge for the calculation of automatic parting surfaces of the selected closed parting line.

Creation stages / Use:

Choose the contextual command Select Start Edge... from the list of available parting lines in the automatic parting surfaces command.

As the starting edge of the line has been changed, a new calculation of the automatic surfaces is necessary. The Compute surfaces... button is active again. In the Automatic update mode, the computing is restarted automatically.
The computed parting surfaces will be different depending on the selected starting edge and path direction.

The reverse direction of the parting line is accessible from the arrow created on the starting edge, or contextually from the parting line list.
