Standard Profile Frame

This command allows you to create a reference frame, centered on a standard geometry profile.

It stores the information characteristic of this profile, such as the diameter of a circle for example. It is used to position and dimension the standard cutting components.

Creation stages / Use:

Select the Progressive die > Standard Profile Frame... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select the profile on which to center the frame.

  2. Validate .

  • Only circular and rectangular geometry profiles are processed.

Available options:

  • Profile: This option allows you to select the profile to be considered. The created frame will be in the center of the profile.

  • Information: This section displays, for information, the selected profile characteristics associated with the created frame. For example, for a circular profile:

    • Geometry: Circle

    • Diameter: 4mm

The cutting components included on this frame will be circular, 4mm in diameter.

  • By default the frame is oriented as the Absolute Frame. The direction z+ will give the z axis of the punch included on this mark.

  • Force dimensions: This option allows you to force the dimensions associated with the created frame. The new values associated with the frame are displayed in the information section.

  • Round computed dimensions:  This option allows you to round the dimensions associated with the created frame. The new values associated with the frame are displayed in the information section.

Activate Rotation to turn the frame around its X,Y or Z axis.

  • Choose the rotation axis.
  • Give the angle.

Check Extent to modify dimensions of the frame

  • Give the values for each direction. These values are regarding the frame origin.

  • This section allows to use or define the frame style.
  • You can define the frame representation, its extremities, the length and the color of its axes.
