Spatial Interface Import Options |
This command allows you to modify Spatial interfaces import options. These interfaces are used for Acis, Iges, Step, Unigraphics*, Pro-Engineer*, Catia v4*, Catia v5*, Vda, Inventor*, SolidEdge* and SolidWorks*. imports.
Interfaces listed upper and followed by * need a license. |
The window is in several parts.
The upper part recalls the name of the interface and the file. Also provides file information (file version, unit, author, ...) by clicking the Advanced Information button.
The Preview button allows to visualize the file before importing it. If it is an assembly, you can select the part of the assembly to convert, if the assembly is not monolithic. By unrolling in the tree ("+") it is possible to check or uncheck parts. The Convert contextual command allows to change the file to convert. In this case, the converted document will not be the assembly but the checked part.
The preview is not always available in the file or sometime not identical with the converted document (for example due to the SolidWorks configurations). |
Some options are available:
Translate free curves: Check this option to also retrieve wired entities.
Translate free faces: By checking this option, it is possible to import also surface entities.
Translate hidden entities: Check this option to also import exported hidden entities.
Translate material: Check this option to import material. Known materials are converted, unknown are converted as user parameters. Only isotropic materials (same physical properties regardless the direction) are managed.
Convert Attributes: This option allows you to retrieve attributes (colors, transparencies, levels, ...) from different entities.
Import PMI. Allows you to translate 3d informations (geometric tolerance, surface finish, ...) for some kind of files (Catia v5, Pro-e and Unigraphics). A license is required for this option.
