Revit Interface Import Options

This command allows to define different options of Revit interfaces import.

Revit files can be import with two different way :

The polyhedron is only the visible part of the Revit file. The opening of the file is faster than by using the shape tab, but it is not possible to work with this file (adding drillings for example). It is possible to include it in a draft or in an assembly. In this case, you need to create publish some points in the imported document, to be able to properly use it.

Import options:

  • A Polyhedrons folder is created in the entities tree.
  • After the import, it is no more possible to modify these options. You have to import again the document.

A faceted shape is made of triangular faces meshing. This shape type support most of the boolean operations (pocket, boss, drilling, boolean,...) and it can be projected in a drafting document in the exact projection mode as well.

If you need to modify the shape, the Faceted Shape Vertex Selection mode allows you to hook elements on the mesh vertices.

Import options:

  • The faceted shapes are stored in the Shapes folder of the entities tree. However, they are displayed with a specific icon.
