Automatic dimension |
This command allows to dimension automatically some dimensions on a view. This command is mainly useful to dimensions extruded bars draft (length, cutting dimensions and angle...)
Creation stages / Use:
Click the
icon or select the Detailing > Automatic
Dimension... command from the drop-down menu.
Select the view in which you want to create the dimensions.
Choose the dimensions types to create (enclosing dimensions, length, cut dimensions).
Validate.
This command is useful to create a draft template that will be used for the multi-draft of an extruded bar structure assembly for example. |
With the contextual menu : Other > Explode, it is possible to basify dimension to independently modify it. When this command is apply, dimension are transformed into simple entity and are independents. |

This cell allows the dimension style to use to be defined. |
Format:
Display the name and size of font used Use the Font cell to activate the button and then modify the settings (font, style, size, effects, etc.).
Displays the number of decimals of the length and angle dimensions. Use the unit format cell to turn on the button and modify the settings (number of decimals, display zeros).
Allows to select a text framing: None, underlined, framed, in an obround, under an arc or between brackets.
Allows to set the color of the dimension.
Allows to set the layer of the dimension. |
Advanced Options:
Positioning distance: Allows to set the distance between the dimension line and the reference geometry. When a dimension has been moved, the contextual menu on one of the automatic dimensions gives access to the Reinitialize position command. This command put back all dimensions to the positioning distance value.
Interval between two dimensions: Allows to define the distance between two dimension lines in the case there is two dimensions on the same side of the view.. |
