This option allows to change dimension, angle and tolerance unit formats. It allows to select the unit, to show it or not, to use fractions, to define the number of digits or the denominator for fractions, and to show unnecessary leading or training zeros.

Creation stages / Use:

In dialog of the different dimension commands (dimension, composite dimension, ...) select the unit format... option.

The window has 2 tabs:

Allows to modify the unit format for length dimensions.

  1. Select the unit. By default the dimension inherits the document unit (indicated between brackets).

  2. Show unit: Allows to show the unit of the dimension after its value.

  3. Display unit: Allows to choose display unit. For example, for units in Foot/Inch, we can choose ft in or ' "

  4. Use fraction: Allows to define the denominator for fraction dimensions (example 1" 1/32).

  5. Use 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 : Only available when checking Use fraction, this option allows to display 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 with only one character instead of 3.

  6. Separator: The separator can be selected only if a composed unit has been selected (foot / inch, degree / minute).

  7. Select the dimension precision. If the Use Fraction option is not checked, select the decimal digits in the drop-down list.If the option is checked, select a denominator.

  8. Check if leading/training zeros must be shown before and/or after the comma.
    • Show leading zero: If checked, 0.25 will be displayed as .25.

    • Training zero: If checked, the number of digits will be respected. 25 will be displayed as 25.00

  9. Preview: Allows to have a preview of dimension before validate the window.

  2. Show unit: Allows to show the unit of the angle dimension after its value.

  3. Only available when checking Use fraction, this option allows to display 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 with only one character instead of 3.

  4. Select the angle dimension precision. Select the number of digits in the drop-down list.

  5. Check if leading/training zeros must be shown before and/or after the comma.
