This command allows to create inside a book, a table that displays properties.

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

Click on the icon or choose the command Sketch > Property table... from the drop down menu.

 

  1. Select the type of list to create.

  2. Select the left point and the right point that define the table width.

  3. Validate the command.

  4. Additional commands appear on top of the table. They allow you to modify the appearance of the table (see "Additional commands" into the available options chapter).

 

Available Options:

 

 

This option allows you to choose the type of list the table will display.

 

 

You can select a source document for the data recovery.

The document must be opened to be available into this list.

 

In the case you are creating a book model, the final document must not have source document defined so the book remains empty by default. This option is then useful to temporary test the behavior of the book.

 

 

You can define the spacing before and after the table.

 

 

This option allows you to define the width of the table by selecting two points.

 

 

You can define the spacing before and after each paragraph of the chapter.

You can also get one paragraph by page by activating the corresponding option.

 

 

Allows to cut the table if it is too long and split it in several parts.

  • None: No split.

  • Same page: The split parts of the table are positioned side by side on the same page.

  • Multi-page: The split parts of the table are positioned on the other pages of the document.

 

 

 

  • Heading style / Content style: Select the text style to use here: normal style (default style) or a customized style.

 

  • Margin width: Allows you to define the horizontal margin. This is the distance between the vertical border of the cell and the start or end of the text.

 

  • Margin height: Allows you to define the vertical margin. This is the distance between the horizontal border of the cell and the start or end of the text.

 

Insert a column on the left / right: Allows you to add a column on the left or the right of the selected column.

 

 

The new column created is empty. It is advisable to specify the property to display into it.

To do this, right click on the dash into the title of the column and choose the contextual command "Property text > Edit"

 

Margins: Allows you to change the values of all margins of all cells.

 

Edit Text Style: Allows you to modify the text style of the table (Font, Height, ...) of the selected cell.

 

Border Type: Allows you to modify the border type of the selected cell by selecting the type, thickness and color of the lines as well as the borders to modify.

 

Background Color: Allows you to change the background color of the selected cell.

 

Align Top: Allows you to align the contents of the cell to the top.

 

Center: Allows you to center the contents of the cell.

 

Align Bottom: Allows you to allow the contents of the cell to the bottom.

Modify the column width:

To modify the column width, you must use the contextual command "column width".
