This command activate a specific management of the document.

The aim of the command is to create a specific draft template that will be used to automatically create workshop document.

 

Generality:

 

A book is defined as follow:

 

 

Example:

Thus is possible to create a book with the following structure:

Book

  • Chapter "Operations data sheet"

    • Paragraph "Operation 1"

    • Paragraph "Operation 2"

    • ...

  • Chapter "Tools data sheet"

    • Paragraph "Tool 1"

    • Paragraph "Tool 2"

    • ...

  • Chapter "Operations table"

 

 

Once the model has been created it could be used into projects to generate automatically the workshop documents.

 

Template book creation:

 

As for any template document, a "Book type" draft template document can be put into "my templates", into the " company template" or into the "template" folder of a temple project, or into a company project template or as ell into a specific project.

So it is advisable to determine the location that fits the best with the book template.

 

  1. Create a new draft document.

  2. Activate the command "Sketch > Book"

  3. Create the paragraph models

  4. Create the chapters; each one using a paragraph model.

  5. Create the properties tables

 

How to use the book template:

 

Once the template has been created, it can be used through the "Draft" command from the contextual menu of a machining document.

 

Additional information:

 

It is possible to set an internal margin beyond which the paragraph cannot go.

To set these margins, you need to use the "Internal margins" option available when editing the border of the draft (right click on the border).

This option is available only if the "Book" mode is activated into the draft document.
