Partial parts |
This command allows you to make an assembly document from a part document containing several shapes.
Creation stages / Use:
Select Tools > Derivations > Partial parts... from the drop-down menu.
When the command is launched, all the shapes included in the detailled representation are displayed in the dialog.
It is allowed to unselect some shapes either by picking them in the graphical area or using the Del key but it is not allowed to add shapes which are not included in the detailled representation.
For each shape, it is allowed to change the name of the derived part. By default, the name of the derived part is created using the name of the part document followed by the name of the shape (separated by a point).
When the dialog is validated, each selected shape is converted into a part document (derived part) and these part documents are included into an assembly document.
In parts documents, shapes are moved into the detail representation. This command is useful, for example, for a hopper that is too big and must be cut into 2 or for an import of several parts that has not been converted into an assembly. |

Modifications / Additional information:
It is not allowed to delete the original part document because it is still referenced by the derived part documents.
