Mirror part

Links/Videos:

This popup command allows you to make a mirror part from a part designed in place. A mirror part is created from the geometry of another part. The mirror part will be symmetrical with respect to this part (left part and right part). If the mirror part must be equal to the original part, the function Symmetry Plane or Symmetry Axis must be used.

Creation stages / Use:

Select Others > Mirror Part... from the part designed in place.

  • The mirror part will be created next to the part created in place (in the sub-assembly of the project tree).

It is immediately synchronized with the assembly.

  • If the geometry of the part used to make the mirror part changes, the geometry of the mirror part changes too.

  • Adding an operation on the mirror part does not affect the original part.

  • The operation of unfolding rules is automatically created with a sheet metal derived part.

  • The transformation plane will be always on the plane OXZ and it will be impossible to modify.

The mirror part can also be created by editing the in place part and using the Mirror Part command.
