Select Tools > Derivations > Derived part... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select the path for the derived part.

  2. Select the entities to inherit by checking or unchecking the corresponding options.

  3. Validate.

  • If the geometry of the part used to make the derived part changes, the geometry of the derived part also changes.

  • Adding an operation on the derived part does not affect the original part.

  • The operation of unfolding rules is automatically created with a sheet metal derived part.

  • If the derived part is no longer required to follow the modifications of the original geometry, copy / Paste should be used instead of the part function.

  • From a Strip document, the command create a Strip document.

  • Possibility to associate derived part template to derivation operation thanks to the Associate template to command.
