This command allows you to define the Helical pattern.

Select the Tools > Patterns > Helical pattern... command from the drop-down menu.

1. Select the axis of the spiral.

2. Select Total distance or spacing distance.

3. Enter the distance.

4. Enter the total number of entities. The number and the spacing are defined by 2 of these 3 parameters: total distance, spacing distance and total number.

5. Check or uncheck Align Last Copy. If the option is checked, the pattern is equal to a total number +1, but whose last copy is not displayed. This option is useful for repeating stair steps, for example.

6. Select Total angle or Spacing angle.

7. Enter the value of the angle.

8. Check or uncheck Align Last Copy.

9. Check or uncheck Left for a left-hand thread.

10. Check or uncheck Alternate numbering.
