This command allows to add/modify a tool in a pocket of the machine.
If the machine has several tool holders or magazines, it is possible to choose the location where the tool will be mounted either permanently on a tool holder or in a magazine.
Tools are categorized by type as shown in the dialog box below (mill to face, side mill, slot mill, etc.)
By default, all tool types are proposed.

The choice "All tools" allows to display all the pockets on the machine without distinction.
The choice of a "Turret" tool holder, for example, allows only the pockets of the turret to be displayed, the tool will be permanently mounted on the tool holder.
The choice "Magazine" is only available if one or more magazines are available on the machine. A tool mounted in a magazine will then be available for all tool holders having access to this magazine.
The first icon under the list of tool types allows to choose the database in which the tool will be selected.

This database allows to create a tool quickly by only having to enter a few parameters. The tool is automatically added to the library « TopSolid machining user tools ».
Once the tool base is selected just choose a type of tool in the list and click on the icon or double click directly on the type of tool that we want to add in the tool manager.
The pocket number where the tool will be mount will be the first free number.
To set a pocket number just select the line (in blue) which corresponds to the pocket number before to add the tool.
