- Projects are
archived asynchronously and stored in a specific folder defined
in the vault Advanced management
window of the PDM (Local or Server). Each archive has an identifier
recognized by the issuing PDM. Archived project files are
then automatically deleted from the vault.
- In the project
manager, a new icon at the top right of the window shows the
archived projects.
- You can Restore an archived project
by right-clicking on it and selecting the Restore command
from the context menu.
- The keyboard
shortcut Shift+Delete on an archive allows you to purge it.
- If security
is enabled in TopSolid,
the user must have administrator rights to perform archiving.
- If the archive
destination is on the network or on a NAS, the user account
that runs the PDM service must have write permissions on the
destination folder. The local account has no rights on the
network.
