This command allows you to display text in a 3D document.
Creation stages / Use:
Click the
icon or select Tools >
Annotations > Text... from the drop-down menu.
Select the plane on which the text will be "written".
Select the flag note to use, if available. This choice is not necessary.
If the flag note is not selected, select a predefined text or enter text.
Enter an angle and a style.
Position text
Validate.

For a multi-line text, use the Ctrl+Entr keys on the keyboard. |

To manually orient the text, you can turn it by pressing the ALT key and the left mouse button. |
Available Options:
Text style:

Select the text style to use here: normal text style (default style) or customized text style. |
Arrows:

You can add arrows to your text. First position the text, then select the items(s) to which the arrow must point To delete an existing arrow, after having edited the text, two possibilities:

Allows to define different characteristics of the note and also the color of the note.
The digit number for a distance and an angle can be defined as well as the display of trailing zeros. For example, with 2 digits, 123.4 without checking the option and 123.40 by checking the option).
Yo use another justification, select the Justification cell to select the wanted icon. Three justifications are available:
Display the name and size of font used Check the Font option to activate the button and be able to modify settings (font, style,size, ...)
To use a framing other than that offered by default, select the cell Framing the select the appropriate icon. Select the desired frame.
Allows to adjust a distance between the text and its frame.
If this option is activated, the arrow origine is on the center of the text enclosing box and it is limited by its frame.
The line spacing is the factor between 2 lines in the case of multi lines. To use another line spacing, check the line spacing cell to be able to enter a new value. This value is a factor regarding the text height.
The expansion is the horizontal lengthening of the text. To use a different value from the default one, activate the expansion option and set the new value.

To use another
color, check the color cell to be able
to select a new color. To remove the color, use the
Assign a layer to the element. The layer can be created on the fly by clicking the "+".
Allow to convert text into a QR code. The Size filed allows to customize the size of the symbol.

Hypertext:

Allows you to define a link between the created text and a document of the PDM or an email address, a web site, a folder or a file of the computer or the network. For entering an email address, you have to start with: mailto: (ex.: mailto:contact@topsolid.com). You can follow the link using the Ctrl + double click mouse keys. |
Advanced options:

Extremity: Allows to choose the symbol type, the thickness, the color and the dimensions (length, angle, diameter) of the extremities. Local attributes: Allows to define lines thickness and color of the geometries of the note or framing of the text. |
Modifications:
To modify an existing text, just select it with a right button and select the Edit command.
