Below this threshold, for a rather
short radius, it will not be able to change the sign of curvature
and will always remain on the same side of the chord. This curvature
sign change can be seen using the deformation
command.
Otherwise, if the radius becomes
to large, it could cross its chord and reverse its curvature.
Solving with profiles:
this option allows to make a parallel of an ellipse, an ellipse
arc, or a spline in a sketch thanks to the 2D
Sketch > Other modifications > Offset
command. Without this option, these offsets must be done from
a sketch operation.
Riemannian solving:
this option allows to activate the Riemannian solving mode.
Riemannian geometry allows the study of geometric and curvature
varieties. These are surfaces or objects of higher dimension
on which exist of angle and length, generalizing the traditional
geometry which was limited to the Euclidean space. The main
goal of Riemannian geometry is the study of curvatures of
space and the geodesics allowing to solve the problems of
shortest path. It allows, among other things, the inversion
of curvature.

This
command is only interresting for a few users, it is only
available with TopSolid started as advanced mode.
To activate this advanced mode, add the argument -a
in the TopSolid shortcut properties. |
