Panel Parameter

 

 

 

 

This command creates a panel parameter that can be used in the Panel command. It will parameterize the creation of a panel (materials, edges and laminate).

 

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

Select the Construction > Other Settings > Panel Settings... command from the drop-down menu.

In an assembly document, the command is available directly from the menu.

 

  1. Enter the name of the parameter and its designation.

  2. Enter the number of sides.

 

 

 

This parameter will be useful when the same type of panel is often used, so it will be enough to use this parameter in the Panel command.

It can also be declared as a driver in the panel family to personalize the latter when included in different layouts.

 

 

Available options:

 

 

 

Allows you to define the multi-layer material to be used.

Select the material and a code if it comes from a family document.

 

The pink arrow in the center of the panel allows you to reverse the layout of the of the multilayer panel (top and bottom).

 

 

Automatic update :

 

 

Checking the auto-update option allows drivers to be updated automatically after modifying one of their values.

If the box is unchecked, a manual update option is proposed.

  • Edges :

 

 

Allows you to define the edges.

Select the song family and a code. If the song has drivers, please enter them.

 

  • Identicals Edges:

Allows you to apply the same family document to all edges.

If this option is unchecked it is possible to change the family of an edge

 

  • Identicals Cuts:

Allows you to apply the same cut to all edges, select the cut from the drop-down menu.

 It is possible to change the start and end cut of an edge in the table.

 

Miter cut

No cut

Large side covering, the long side being the horizontal side.

Small side covering, the small side being the horizontal side.

 

The yellow arrow in the center of the panel allows you to move the edge identifiers around the panel.

Right-clicking on this arrow reverses the direction of rotation.

 

This arrangement is important in the case of the realization of a box with panels of the same dimensions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Allows you to define the family of laminate materials to be applied to the panel.

 

Select the laminate family and a code. If the edge has drivers, please enter them.

 

  •  Laminates cover the edges:

Allows the edges to be covered by the laminate.

  • Identical Laminates:

Allows the same laminate to be applied to both sides of the panel.

  •  The laminates are outside:

Allows you to create a laminate on the outside of the panel, its thickness is added to that of the panel.

 

Option The laminates are outside activated.

Option Laminates are outside disabled.

 

 

 

 

  • Advanced options :

 

 

When this option is checked, when the multi-layer material (which has a driver) of one panel is changed for another which does not have an equivalent driver, a disability warns the user that a driver is missing.

 

When the option is unchecked, there is no error message for the same operation.
