• General options:

• Displaying of results: This option allows you, when it is checked, to display the import results report. When importing several files with conversion, a document is created (html format) in the same folder than converted files. It contains the global result for each of the files. An export result file (HTML file) is created for several documents in the same folder as the DSTV files.

• Document importer:

These options will be proposed by default upon each import and may be modified case by case.

• Translate assembly structure: This option allows you to preset the document type to be created during the import of an assembly document (Part when the option is unchecked and Assembly when the option is checked).

• Convert Attributes: The attributes (colors, etc.) can be either be retrieved or not.

 Depending on the type of import file and software that made the file, certain attributes will not be retrieved.

• Simplification and sewing:

• Simplify geometry: This option allows to simplify the topology of a shape by converting it to plane, cylindrical or conical surfaces when it is possible. It also converts if possible, all surfaces edges to lines or arcs.

• Sew sheet bodies: If the import result is a batch of surfaces, TopSolid will try to sew them together to obtain a volume by taking in account the chosen linear tolerance.

• Translate shapes to FreeShape: Imported shapes will be converted to FreeShape, to be able to modify their geometries and dimensions.

• Check shapes: allows to check shapes and surfaces geometries to highlight invalidities.

• Document exporter: this option allows to select a naming convention when exporting. It is useful when exporting several documents with conversion.

• Separate occurrences with different attributes: when several occurrences of the same part have different attributes, this option allows you to consider all the occurrences of this part as the same part (option unchecked) or not (option checked).
