Links/Videos:

This command calculates the volume of an unfolded part.

Creation stages / Use:

Click the icon or select the Tools > Unfolding enclosing box... command from the drop-down menu.

Select the type of calculation of volume:

Automatic: Calculates the minimum volume of unfolding following the X, Y and Z axes.

Minimum: This option allows you to extract the minimum box sizes of the flattening, the greatest length always on X, the smallest on Y and the thickness on Z.

Manual: This mode defines manually the volume of the unfolding.

Enter the size X of the box.

Enter the size Y of the box.

Enter the size Z of the box.

Not managed:

This is the default mode, in this mode the volume is not managed, the sizes following the X, Y and Z axes are deleted from the Parameters folder in the entities tree.

The X, Y and Z values of the enclosing box are displayed in the Parameters folder of the entities tree. These parameters can then be managed by TopSolid'PDM or used in a BOM.

Available Options:

When modifying a part of the sheet metal, the X, Y and Z values of the enclosing box can be recalculated automatically.

If this option is unchecked, the update should be done manually with the Regenerate command from the TopSolid button.

Auto refresh may cause performance losses, each entity modification creates a new calculation of the volume.
