This option is useful when the first plunge is completed outside the ends of the area to mill.

Alternative Plunge

Instead of milling the entire side of an area, then milling the other side, the "Alternative Plunge" option allows you to successively plunge one side of the first plunge, then the other, etc.

 

This plunge type allows a seamless wear on tool bodies.
