Quick search

This command allows to allow to quick search a document by its name, description and or part number.

Creation stages / Use:

Click the icon which is upper right near the help icon.

Enter the word to search for.
Select if it is the name, the description or /and the part number.
Select the type of document to search for.
Select where to search (All, All projects, All libraries, Current project, ...)
The Show first result in the project tree option allow to highlight the first found document.
Start the search by clicking on .
The result is displayed in a window at the bottom of the screen.

This command can also be used with the CTRL+F shortcut.
If the windows is closed with the cross or with Echap, information are is stored.
In the Search field, the % character allows you to search all the documents (for example, all the family documents of a library).

The Search text field allows to filter the content of the window by displaying only the lines where the text is present (validate the entered text with the Enter key on the keyboard).
A dynamic filtering is possible entering text under the title of a column (validate the entered text with the Enter key on the keyboard). TopSolid then displays only the rows containing the text entered in the selected column.
An advanced filtering is possible using the Filter icon .
Possibility to create groupings by dragging the title of a column into the grouping area (above the title row).

Available options:

By clicking this option, the search result will be displayed as icons.

By checking this option, documents of referenced projects and libraries are also searched.

Modifications / Additional information:

For a more advanced search (with criterion, with other properties, ...), create a Search document.
