Traction deformation |
This command allows to deform a part by applying a traction on it. To illustrate this traction, we can imagine a part locked on its both extremity and then a traction is applied so a specific slice to stretch it of a given length. This deformation will be listed and usable by the deformation command.
Creation stages / Use:
Click on the icon or choose the Construction > Deformations > Traction Deformation... command from the drop down menu.
Select the traction direction.
Select the origin point of the "slice" to stretch. This point is considered on the neutral axis. The area before this point will not be deformed.
Give the length of the slice that will be deformed.
Give the distance of the traction to apply along the direction.
Activate the option Smooth to get a smooth junction between the stretch slice and the unchanged area of the part.

Modifications / Additional information:
Each modification can be done using the popup menu from the operations tree.
It is possible to replace a deformation by another (for example a flexion by a torsion), by using the Replace contextual command in the operations tree.
