Barycenter point

This command allows to create a barycenter point with several points.

Creation stages / Use:

In a Drawing document, click the icon or select the Sketch > Barycenter point... command from the drop-down menu.

Select the weight unit (see explanation below).
Select different points and modify their weight, volume or factor regarding the selected weight unit.
Validate by clicking .

Weight unit:

Mass:

The barycenter point depends on the weight of the different selected points.

The mass can be entered, or can be given creating a mass parameter. Then it can be used by selecting it in the drop-down list of mass (small triangle on the right of the mass value).

Volume:

The barycenter point depends on the volume of the different selected points.

The volume can be entered, or can be given creating a volume parameter

Factor:

The barycenter point depends on the points position, one regarding others by taken in account the entered factor.

For example, the barycenter point of 2 points with an offset of 100mm and each with a factor 1, is the midpoint of these 2 points.

The barycenter point of 2 points with an offset of 100mm, one with a factor of 1, the other with a factor of 2, is at 2/3 of the distance (near the point with the factor of 2).
