Import
as:
|
Polyhedron: The
polyhedron is only the visible part of the FBX file. The opening of the file is faster than
by using the shape tab, but it is not possible to work
with this file (adding drillings for example). It is possible
to include it in a draft or in an assembly. In this case,
you need to create publish some points in the imported
document, to be able to properly use it.
Faceted shape: A
faceted shape is made of triangular faces meshing. This
shape type support most of the boolean operations (pocket,
boss, drilling, boolean,...) and it can be projected in
a drafting document in the exact projection mode as well. |
Find faces:
|
When
it is checked, this option allows you to rebuild the faces
of the shape. If the angle between 2 faces is lower than
the angular tolerance value, the 2 faces are recognized
as one, for instance, it allows to have a graphical echo
on all the faces of a cylinder (drilling). When this option
is unchecked, the faceted shape is made of one face only. |
Translate
assembly structure:
|
This
option allows to preset the document type to be created
during the import of an assembly document (Part when the option
is unchecked and Assembly
when the option is checked). |
Create
local parts:
|
This
option allows to create an assembly document containing
only local parts. When this option is checked, the assembly
structure is not kept and all shapes, including those
from a subassembly, are imported at the first level of
the assembly. |
