Translator options: OpenPackage

This section allows to set the behavior of TopSolid when it imports OpenPackage files.

 

Creation stages / Use:

 

Click the icon or select the Tools > Options... command from the drop-down menu.

 

  1. Click "+" in front of the Translators section in the left column.

  2. Select OpenPackage.

 

 

The Reset button allows to restore the rubric to the installation configuration.

 

 

Available options:

 

  • Sketches:

  • Check profile: This option allows when it is checked, to check the integrity of imported profiles. A result window is displayed.

  • Repair profile:This option allows when it is checked, to repair profiles when there are several.

  • Simplify geometry: This option allows when it is checked, to simplify profiles. (For example by rebuilding an arc from a lot of little segments).

    • Linear tolerance: This option allows when it is checked, to specify the tolerance to respect during the profiles simplification. Thereby a profile will be simplified only if the new profile stays between tolerance limits on each side of the initial profile.

  • Shape:

  • Simplify geometry: This option allows when it is checked, to simplify a shape topology. (For example by converting if it is possible, surfaces to flat, cylindrical or conical surfaces and face edges to lines or arcs in accordance with the given tolerance.

    • Linear tolerance: This option allows when it is checked, to specify the tolerance to respect during the surface simplification. Thereby a face will be simplified only if the new face stays between tolerance limits on each side of the initial face.
