Scattering Volume |
This command allows to define a volumetric effect.
This matches the effects induced by light passing through particles like gas, smoke, dust, etc.
Creation stages / Use:
Select the Visualization > Scattering Volume... command from the drop-down menu of a Studio document.
Give a name to this volume.
Select the scattering shape.
Specify the absorption color and its coefficient.
Specify the scattering color and its coefficient.
Without scattering volume |
With scattering volume |
|
Available options:
Absorption color:
|
Frequencies of the light spectrum absorbed by the volume (usually white to absorb all frequencies). |
Absorption coefficient:
|
Fraction of light absorbed by the volume per unit length. |
Scattering color:
|
Frequencies of the light spectrum scattered by the medium (usually white to absorb all frequencies). |
Scattering coefficient:
|
Fraction of light scattered by the volume in all directions per unit length. |
Modifications / Additional information:
The scattering shape is an entity. It is available in the Scattering Volumes folder in the entity tree, and can be edited or deleted from there.
