Common cut

The Common cut allows you to group together parts that can be cut at the same time.

Available options:

  • Gap: This option allows you to define the gap between the two parts "cut" together. The gap respected for the other contours of the part will be the one given in the the Parts tab.

  • Allow between: The placement can look for local cuts between:

    • All the parts for which the option has been activated in the part tab.

    • Same parts only: common cuts are searched only between batches of identical parts with the local cut option enabled.

  • Matching: the search for the common cut can be done on the borders of the parts in the following way:

    • Partial: the common cut between the two parts is made between two partially identical edge paths.

    • Perfect: the common cut between the two parts is made between two identical and complete edge paths.

  • Minimum length: this option allows to limit the creation of common cuts by giving a minimum value for the length of these cuts.
