Dimension style |
This command allows dimension styles to be created / modified which will then be usable when creating a dimension.
A dimension style is the dimension settings (format, geometry, ...)
Creation stages / Use:
Select Tools > Styles > Dimension style... command from the drop-down menu.
Enter a name to this new dimension style
Choose the base style (the base style allows to retrieve the settings of this existing style).
The modification of a dimension style used as the basic style by another style will automatically cause the modification of the later. |
Available Options:
Text:
Text X and Text Y correspond to the coordinate dimension texts.

Format:
Dimension / Tolerance:
Display the name and size of font used Use the Font cell to activate the button and then modify the settings (font, style, size, effects, ...).
Displays the number of decimals of the length and angle dimensions. Use the unit format cell to turn on the button and modify the settings (number of decimals, display zeros).
Decoration: Allows to select a text framing: None, underlined, framed, in an obround, in an arc or between brackets.
Allows to adjust the distance between the text position and its framed.
Color: Allows to specify color of dimension.
Layer: Allows to attribute a layer for dimension.

Draft dimension:
This option allows to define settings of the parallel line.

Advanced options:
Secondary dimension: Allows to define the secondary dimension: position, font and unit, tolerances, prefix/suffix, symbols framings,...A secondary dimension can use 2 different framings.
Geometry: Allows to modify the dimension geometry: Text and tolerance positions, dimension line defintion, projection lines, ...
Extremities: Allows to modify dimension extremities: leader style, size, ... |
When an option is modified, its button remembers changes. |
