This option allows you to provide or calculate the clearance altitude that must be reached for rapid advance paths. This altitude is effective for all rapid paths if the Retract if Necessary box is checked.
When an automatic calculation is selected on the stock or finish regarding to a face, the altitude is defined in relation to the active WCS.
Automatic The altitude is automatically defined as the highest part of the finished part and the stock. |
Value The altitude is manually defined by a Z coordinate. |
Point The altitude is graphically defined by entering a point. |
Finish The altitude is automatically defined as the highest part of the finished part. |
Stock The altitude is automatically defined as the highest part of the stock part. |
Incremental Value At the end of the operation or of a step the tool retract with a fixed incremental value (this incremental value is calculated from the current Z value). |
Minimal value of the face The altitude is automatically defined as the lower part of selected face. |
Maximal value of the face The altitude is automatically defined as the highest part of selected face. |
In the modes "Automatic", "Regarding to a face", "Finish" and"Stock" it is possible to add a security distance named Shift at the value calculated by TopSolid.

A additionnal offset can be added on the TopSolid calculation.
