Check for Updates |
This command allows to search for TopSolid'Pdm Explorer updates, to download them locally and/or install them.
Creation stages / Use:
Select the Check for updates... using the Help button.
A message indicates whether or not the installed applications are up-to-date.
The applications is up-to-date:
Click OK to exit the window or
Click Options to configure the behavior of future updates.
The applications is not up-to-date:
A window opens indicating the available updates.
Click Install Now to install the updates. In this case, you must close TopSolid'Pdm Explorer by clicking Close or click Install Later to install the program later.

Available Options:
Search for updates upon startup of TopSolid'Pdm Explorer:
If this option is checked, it allows you to search for updates upon each startup of TopSolid'Pdm Explorer. If it is not checked, you will have to search for updates manually.
Search for Updates on the Internet:
This option allows you to verify the TopSolid website for the availability of updates. When multiple workstations must be updated,
Client Mode:
This option allows you to use the updates in a shared local directory when administrator mode is on. Please indicate the local directory for update repository by clicking on the Browse button.
Server Mode:
This option allows you to search for all the updates available on the TopSolid website, to download them into a shared local directory and to make the updates available to other work stations. Applications to Update:
The update search is global for all TopSolid products. If you do not use certain products, simply uncheck them in the list so as to not download their updates. For example, if you only have 64 bit versions, it is unnecessary to download updates for 32 bit versions.

During the update, TopSolid'Pdm Explorer must be closed. If TopSolid'Pdm Explorer is started, the permission to stop it will be proposed. |
