This window allows to check the integrity of the database, but also of the files. The missing files can be searched.

Use:

Click on the Check integrity button of the Advanced Management window..

 

  1. Select if you want to check the integrity of the database, of the files or both. When checking files, missing files are searched at the same time.

  2. Validate.

  3. You can save as the result of this check in a file.

 

 

  • The current database and its files will be checked.

  • The check integrity for files and search missing files is only possible for files created of saved since TopSolid 7.12

 

 

  • A maintenance task to verify the integrity of the database and the rebuilding of indexes and statistics is automatically initiated every day at 3am without making any adjustments. If errors are found, the server is automatically shut down and the repairing information is saved in the Windows event log, as well as in a log file.

  • This maintenance also applies to the local PDM server mode. If your computer is off at 3am, the maintenance is carried out at least once a week when the PDM server is started

  • The used command is based on DBCC CHECHDB.

  • For files, this option allows to check the validity of the files (test Checksum of each files) during saving, Check-in, recovering the latest version.

  • It is not compatible with NAS and FTP. (

  • This action should take time consuming

  • It is available on PC client and on Pdm Server application.

  • If the user wants to activate this control, we recommend to check it on the server side only. It is enough.

  • However, if the user has some troubles with one of PCs during the saving, he can check this option on PC side as well.
